Introduction to the Class

Through 6 hours of video learning, we'll take you through the basics of plant-based cooking. Once you have the basics, you'll be able to build on each skill to be able to create your own sensational foods and desserts to wow your senses!

By the end of the 6 hours you'll be able to:

  1. Perfect basic healing grains like: quinoa, basmati rice, and millet
  2. Nut Milks - Make your own flax, almond, and brazil nut milk
  3. Enjoy your very own, home-made gluten-free pizza crust

  5. Cook ayurvedic, balancing kicheree
  6. Make your own flax crackers

  • 6 hours of video instruction and lecture from a previous live cooking class
  • Step-by-step instructions on how to prepare each dish
  • Information on reducing inflammation in your body and how food contributes to disease or healing

Dr. Arjan Khalsa comes from a family of healers and has been practicing healing and Chiropractic for over 21 years in the Espanola Valley and around the world. She has been a certified Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher since 1999 and loves to incorporate yogic practices, food, lifestyle and the art of living into her Chiropractic practice. Her passion is practicing Craniosacral Therapy and watching the body’s tension patterns unwind to create a sense of balance and healing for her clients. Her motto is ‘I take away the clouds so the sun can shine’. She truly believes that every person has the right to live a life full of health, vitality and joy. Using many of life’s lessons, both professionally and personally, she weaves these into her healing sessions to help support each person along their healing journey so that they can live the life of their dreams. She loves creating community, bringing people together, cooking and healing through food, learning languages, and travelling the world to see this vast, amazing world we live in.


Deva Khalsa is the owner of The Cleanse of Santa Fe.

Ayurvedic Practitioner, Kundalini Yoga Teacher and Trainer, Deva embodies the spirit of a healthy lifestyle and began practicing Kundalini Yoga in Vancouver, Canada in 1992. In 1996 she moved to New Mexico and began to personally study yoga and Ayurveda with Yogi Bhajan, Amadea Morningstar, California College of Ayurveda and Sonia Massocco. She is passionate about empowering people to take control of their health and lives with Ayurveda, conscious living, and yoga. Ayurveda is a natural healing system that has been successfully practiced for thousands of years. Originating in ancient India, this medical tradition states that each person’s path toward optimal health is unique—because each person is unique. Deva works with you to create an individualized program based on effective time-honored principles that focus on understanding your particular body-mind constitution and the unique nature of your imbalances. Her goal is to create, within your body and mind, an optimum environment for healing to take place to maximize your body’s innate ability to heal itself using lifestyle adjustments, dietary changes, herbs, sound/mantra therapy, aromatherapy, Kundalini Yoga and meditation.
